BeautyBlog53-March 2010 Favorites

Hi my lovelies,

It's time, albeit a bit late, my March 2010 favorites.

March was all about having my make up be fast, natural and easy.

First off, I've fallen in love with my MAC Mineralized Skinfinish in Natural - my shade is Medium Plus. It has basically replaced my MAC Studio Fix Powder. Why I love it: A more natural finish - less caky finish, a lot lighter coverage and my skin feels soooo soft!

I've been applying my skinfinish with my new favorite brush - the SIGMA SS150 Brush. If you haven't tried or don't know about SIGMA I highly recommend their brushes. They are exact MAC dupes - only 50% off! One of my favorite guru's on YouTube Makeupbytiffanyd is the official spokes person. Check out her review of the brushes here and the SIGMA website here! They ship worldwide and you can either buy the brushes individually from $9, in small sets from $39 and a big professional set + eyeshadows $99.

Another favorite this month is a gift from a dear, dear friend and fellow make-up addict. For my birthday last month, she gave me MAC's Cremesheen Glass in Partial to Pink. I absolutely love this. As opposed to a lot of MAC/lipglosses in general it's not sticky at all. It's very smooth and feels hydrating.

During winter/cold times, my biggest problem is chapped lips. My lips dry like crazy when it's cold outside! I've been looking for the perfect combo for my lips for a while. Now I've found it. The lipstick I've been using a lot lately is the Clarins Joli Rouge lipstick in 702 Rose Sorbet. The color is a slightly darker pink with coral shades. Love it with Partial to Pink over it.

I've been into pinkish and a little shimmery blushes for a while. My ELF Studio Line Blush in Tickled Pink gives me a perfect flushed look. It's also a great dupe for Nars' Blush in Super Orgasm. I paid $1.50 for mine - (got it at 50% off;) the Nars Blush is $26.

After I switched up my facial routine - how I cleanse and take care of my skin - last fall it's been doing really well and looks better than ever. Will do a post on my routine soon! However, I do tend to break out (feels like I'll be a teenager forever, when that happens and I'm 27! hmmm!) Well, a few years back a friend recommended a great spot treatment from Shiseido called the Pureness Blemish Clearing Gel. It is part of their acne medication line and contains salicylic acid, which is supposed to treat the spots. I really like this product. If I feel a break-out on the way, I put the gel on the spot liberally throughout the day and it often helps prevent an actual breakout! It is a bit on the pricier side ($19 for a mere 0.5 Fl. Oz/15 ml) but it last a long time and it's worth it!

Those were my March 2010 favorites.

Please comment and tell me if you've tried any of the products, what you think and what your own favorites are!

BeautyBlog52-I would love me some lenses

Hi my lovelies,

I'm getting on the band wagon - the colored contact lenses wagon. All the cool kids are doing it! Well at least a lot of the YouTube guru's I'm following.

I'm Korean and a lot of the girls I watch on YouTube are Asian or Korean, since it's great for make up tips. I match their skin color and a lot of the looks they do will look great on me too. One of the things everyone has been into lately are the circle lenses. Colored contact lenses in all kinds of colors. It has been huge in Asia and particular Korea for a while and now I want to try it out. I have small eyes and the lenses really accentuate and make my eyes look a loooot bigger;)

I'm gonna start with the very popular Angel Brown, which I will get from lenscircle.com

Since it looks really pretty, I've also been toying with the idea of trying blue lenses;)

I've been watching one guru in particular for lens-inspiration - Jarmaine - JlovesMAC has a great video: BIG Doll Eye Contacts on how to achieve those bigger doll looking eyes we all dream of - okay, I dream of;)

Another is hollyannaeree, check out her video where you can see the blue lenses here: Easy Smokey Eye Routine Tutorial Great for Asian Eyes

Here she wears the grey ones, I've been debating a lot over these, what do you guys think? I may even like they grey better than blue! Maybelline Natural Smokes Tutorial: SIMPLE Mild Brown Smokey Eye: My everyday look when using this

The price is around 34 dollars + shipping to Denmark (10 dollars) so all in all about 45 dollars. Jarmaine has a cupon code JLoves15 that takes off 15%!

BeautyBlog51-I love online shopping...and why I should consider becoming a wedding planner!

Hi my lovelies,

My March favorites are being uploaded tomorrow! But before I want to share this amazing site with you:

Etsy.com I have to say I have not ordered anything from there myself but I've seen Lollipop26's recent haul - she is a favorite guru of mine and I totally trust her judgement!

Etsy.com is an online store. Etsy was founded in June, 2005. It's a community and a company. The Etsy community spans the globe with buyers and sellers coming from more than 150 countries. Etsy sellers number in the hundreds of thousands.
If each of these sellers stood outside at night with a really bright flashlight pointed towards the sky, it might look something like the image this:

This is what Laura - Lollipop26 bought on there:

I absolutely love the Sideways Cross Necklace. (Small Handcrafted 14K Gold Filled Cross and Chain - Simple And Modern) It's inspired by the cross, Taylor Jacobson wears on the Rachel Zoe Project.

Another couple of wonderful things I have to put on my wish list are:

Earrings with any kind of turquoise/aqua colored stones:

Scented candles, preferably in pomegranate like scents:

And if I were to pick a few wedding related things - a bit of alternative hair decoration, a cool cake topper and simple pearl studs for the big day:) You'd think I was the one getting married...maybe I should go into wedding planning!?:

Etsy.com sells things under all the below categories, so you'd better put aside some quality time to go shopping;)

Accessories
Art
Bags and Purses
Bath and Beauty
Books and Zines
Candles
Ceramics and Pottery
Children
Clothing

Everything Else

Jewelry
Knitting
Music
Needlecraft
Paper Goods

The Weddings section in particular caught my eye. Two friends getting married this year, so I'm all hooked on the wedding thing right now;)
